What We Believe

THE ONENESS OF GOD
We believe that Jesus was both human and divine; creator and creature; God manifested in the flesh, the only person of the Godhead; the Eternal Father made visible; apart from whom there is no God.
(Matt. 1:21, 25; John 5:43 John 14 V 26)

We believe that there is one God and that the fulness of the Godhead is manifested in Jesus Christ (Col. 1V19 and 2V9). We further believe that "Father", "Son" and "Holy ghost" are manifestations, modes, offices or relationships that the One God has shown to man. We see nothing less than monotheism taught by the bible and we insist that the Godhead cannot be divided into three persons as some believe. Rather we believe that God is absolutely one (Spirit). God is a Spirit (John 4 V 24)

Those who believe in both the indivisible oneness of God and the full deity of Jesus Christ frequently use the term "Oneness" to describe their belief. We also use the terms "One God" and "Jesus Name" as adjectives with which to label our selves. Our opponents sometimes use the misleading designation "Jesus Only". The term "Jesus Only" is misleading because it implies that we deny both the Father and Holy Spirit. Oneness believers do not deny the Father and Spirit but rather see Father and Spirit as different roles of the one God who is the Spirit.

In support of our belief the holy scriptures teach conclusively that, "There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and father of all, who is above all, and though all, and in you all." (Eph. 4 V 5-6)

GOD'S STANDARD OF SALVATION
We believe in and earnestly contend for God's standard of salvation. In the scriptures we can find nothing short of a holy spirit-filled life with signs following as on the day of Pentecost.
(Heb. 12:14, Matt 5:48, I Peter 1: 15-16, Mark 16: 16-18; Acts 8: 14-18;
& 17-19; 10: 44-46)

REPENTANCE, BAPTISM IN THE NAME OF JESUS AND REMISSION OF SINS
We believe that the only ground upon which God will accept a sinner is repentance from the heart, of the sins that he has committed. A broken and contrite heart, He will not despise. (Psalm 51: 17) Before his ascension He commanded that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem.

This message was repeated by Peter the Apostle on the Day of Pentecost, (Acts 2:38). Baptism in water was performed in no other name than the name of Jesus (Acts 8:16; Acts 8:35-38; Acts 10:48; Acts 19:5.)

THE LORD'S SUPPER
We believe that the Lord's Supper is a sacred and sacramental rite; a command to be carried out by the Christian Church. Melchizedek the priest of the most high God gave the first communion to our Father Abraham, consisting of bread and wine. (Gen. 14-18) Christ being the High Priest; "after the order of Melchizedek" instituted the same to show forth an example of commemorating His death and suffering (I Corr. 11: 24-32)

FEET WASHING
We believe that this ordinance is as much a divine command as any other New Testament ordinance. Jesus gave us an example that we should do even as he has done (St John 13: 4-7)

TITHES and OFFERING
We believe in the giving and receiving of Tithes and offering as this is God's plan for supporting the Ministry. (Malachi 3:6)

THE COMING OF JESUS
We believe that Jesus is coming to earth again in person. Jesus taught it, the Apostles preached it and Saints accept it.
(1 Cor. 4:16-17, Phil 3:20; Acts 3: 19-20; St Matt. 24:30; Mark 8:38)
